Cable Avoidance Training
We have teamed up with training provider CSTA Global to create a bespoke Level 2 Award in utility avoidance and the location of buried services. Located at our Head Office near Sevenoaks in Kent, is our real-world training facility that allows participants to be taught the correct use of the Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) & Genny effectively and in a safe, controlled environment.
What IF Way
Named ‘What IF Way’ after our in-house Health and Safety programme, the 60m2 designated training trench and practical area offers a safe space for participants to complete their course in a safe environment.
Suitability
Whether it’s first time CAT & Genny training or a refresher course that’s required, the course is suitable for all excavation and groundwork operatives, permit receivers/issuers, site engineers and experienced or novice users.
Course Overview
Participants are assessed for competence with written and practical tests on the relevant guidance and legislation available, the capabilities and limitations of CAT & Genny equipment and its use in multiple detection modes, plus much much more.
Testimonials
“Just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for your hospitality, and most importantly, the outstanding course that you ran. As a result, we have upgraded one of our ‘Bold Commitments’, namely avoiding buried services. I have attended several similar courses over the past 20 years yet yours was, by a country mile, the most useful and professional, particularity the bespoke practical training area.”
