Health & Safety
Health & Safety is our number one priority at the O’Keefe Group, taking precedence ahead of profitability and business growth.
Here at the O’Keefe Group, we aim to set the highest of standards in Health & Safety and our What IF? brand mark is a reflection of our aspiration to create a working environment that is “Incident Free”. As championed by our Group CEO Patrick O’Keefe, Health & Safety is our number one priority and in our business, it’s a way of life, not just a saying.
Compared to most industries the working environment in construction is naturally more dangerous. Despite the enormous, positive improvements in safety within our industry in the last decade, the most forward thinking construction organisations know there is much more still to be done.
We are fully committed to ensuring the safety of our staff, clients, contractors, suppliers and visitors to our sites and we have a robust Health & Safety system in place to support this strategy. However, we are not complacent and we will never assume that we have created an environment that is entirely free from danger. What we can guarantee is that every member of staff, client and site visitor is made completely aware of What IF? and its meaning as we strive towards our goal of creating a working environment where everyone goes home safely.
Our commitment to Health & Safety is further supported by our Accreditations & Memberships We are ISO 45001 and Acclaim accredited and are also certified members with the British Safety Council, Construction Health & Safety Group, CHAS and SMAS Worksafe. Member schemes in all Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) ensure that our systems consistently meet recognised industry standards. In addition, we have been awarded RoSPA Gold throughout our business for four consecutive years, with 2020 the most recent.
