The project required extensive soft strip ‘cut and carve demolition’, installation of new permanent steel works and finally the installation of new slabs. All of this, in a surrounding area of sensitive nature with restricted access to the site. As a result, strict control measures were implemented at all times.

A large volume of asbestos was removed due to the historic nature of the property and an array of temporary works were required to enable ‘Cut and Carve’ of the cores, stairwells and slabs. This was carried out using small demolition excavators and Brokk’s.
